a lot of the focus is on rp, but what bothers me is odom. and from his actions of the past three months,it does happen pretty often. too often. if things are as they appear odom was involved in a situation that was based on violence, that is the third incident for him involving violence/detruction of property. in less than three months. it doesn't matter at some point if charges were not pressed in previous incidents, it seems he is not learning from those lessons and the opportunity to change his ways.

keeping a player that is repeatedly involved in violent acts is going to give lsu a "thug u" image. i would rather do without that.

How can one say get rid of RP when we kept Odom after two VIOLENT acts/arrest with a chance RP was the victim in the situation.

As much as I have been an RP fan, this is a very disturbing pattern. Even if by some chance this is all screwed up and he's not at fault, the fact that he was around trouble - again - when the fingers are being pointed doesn't bid well for him. I'd love nothing more than for him to get his act together and be a grown up, but I'm beginning to have my doubts as to if he's got it in him...

i don't know all the facts and i honestly do not know what should be done about rp. that is a very complicated situation.

but i am forming some opinions about do.

This is pretty factual to what happen. Looks like they did not want to leave the club when it was time. I don't understand why they would not leave at closing time. RP is very lucky to have not been arrested, especially if he had been drinking. Immaturity reigns again.

i'm really tired of people (mostly including radio personalities and internet personalities) asking these questions. keep in mind these are based off of the police report that has been released.

what is rp doing with a lawyer!? nathan fisher represents most of lsu players.

why did rp call his lawyer at 2am!? well if the police report is true and rp believed the bouncers threatened his pregnant gf, rp probably wanted to press charges. this is supported by nathan fisher's first comments saying he advised perriloux not to press charges.

what was rp doing out at 2 am? probably the same thing marlon favorite was, or dorsey, or any of the other football players that were there... having fun.

what was rp's pregnant gf doing out? well this has the most merit, but if this is all you can grab onto then clearly you're just out to get RP. it's her choice to go out, we don't know that she was drinking or smoking and it's really not that much different than taking your pregnant wife/fiance/gf to chelsea's a few months ago before they changed the smoking laws. we also don't know how far along she is.

i'm also tired of these statements:

rp is a thug! all he has been "convicted" of is using a fake ID (never arrested) and having unpaid parking tickets (never arrested). this is the first link of rp to violent behavior, and again, judging by the police report, i'd have acted the same way if they manhandled my girlfriend pregnant or not.

this is rp's fourth offense! see above. besides, it's not even an 'offense' being as that as far as we know, he hasn't been charged with anything.

i'd like to close this up but i've got more. i've worked at bars, i know what it's like. i've been to bars as a patron, i know what it's like. same probably goes for you all at some point in your life.

you're with you friends, having a good time, not realizing what time it is. or in this case, you're watching your friend and fellow teammate perform on stage (favorite) and you lose track of time. 2 am comes, you don't realize that, and the bouncers come tell you to leave.

if you don't leave by the arbitrary time the bouncer doesn't tell you, there will be problems, period. it happens virtually every night at every bar. until you are ready to chastise every other person who has been involved in a situation like this (including me and possibly yourself) you have no right to chastise rp anymore because as far as we know, he has done nothing illegal.
