    Agreed

    Agreed

I want to agree here but man, I just don't know what to think.
This wasn't the first time RP had questionable behavior, first incident, so I would have to agree and hope we're wrong.

Hmm.... He had to call his Criminal Defense Attorney for the 3rd time this calendar year on his cell phone at 2:45 am to get advice on how to handle a bad situation he put himself into.

He said "when they were here", which I took to mean while they were members in good standing of the Tiger football team. He is not condoning their criminal behavior. Damn, this place is full of judgemental types. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone-John 8:7 (paraphrased).

Guess we have to scrap our legal system until we can find policemen, lawyers, judges and juries who are "without sin." What vacuous nonsense. Larry Foster and Cecil Collins were criminals. They were not worthy of our "support" and it would be rather an empty statement to say that we "supported" them while we had no inkling of what they were capable of.

SF's right, i meant i supported them while they were here. larry foster wasn't some thug who was constantly in trouble, his incident came out of the blue his last year here.

i'm not saying that some players don't need swift kick in the rear, but as long as the coaching staff sees fit to keep them on the team, then i'm behind them.

i also do not think it makes you a bad fan if you aren't behind these types of players b/c one way of thinking is that it brings distractions and a certain bad element to the team.

as long as miles sees fit to keep this kid around then i (like cajun who started this thread) am standing behind RP.

i will still continue to worry about RP being in trouble but have to believe that the team and the coaches can be a positive influence on this kid.

That wouldn't happen to be because he knew people would rush to judge him, would it?

i'd rather a "i support the players" thread, but this'll do.

but yes, i'll drink a beer in support of a guy who get's more crap for doing less crap than i've ever seen. he tries to sneak into a casino and suddenly he's public enemy number 1.

i'll never understand it, but yeah. here's to rp and lsu and hoping people settle down.
