1. Has anyone else noticed how often CLM refers to playing football for LSU? I've never heard a coach say this before and so often. My fellow Tigers, this man speaks from the heart more then any coach I've ever seen. I truly believe he is playing on the field through his players. This may be why his players love him so much. It game me chill bumps to read what Ryan Perriloux had to say after the game. How he just followed the game plan and did what the coaches asked him to do. Do you realize how far RP has come this season? To watch CLM talk to RP each time he came to the side line keeping him calm and reassuring him. This is a rare talent among head coaches today. We have the best coach in college football right now. :thumb: :milesmic:

  2. None of those coaches appear to be rocket scientists. saban talks like he's smart, but he does some pretty dumb things, like "I'm not going to be the Alabama coach". Miles seems to have a lot of heart, sincerely wants the best for his players, and while he is not a graceful speaker, he does inspire us. He gets his message across effectively!

    Geaux Les!!!
  3. I'm so happy we have CLM's and he wants to be a coach at LSU.
I'm trying to soak in all of these article floating around here.
He does have great heart and character plus he has guts too.

I was terrified when he called for the fake punt and the ball was thrown towards Johnson, scared to death a guy with one catch all year would drop it, nerves, etc.
If I'm in that situation there is no way I would EVER have the guts to make that call!:milesmic:
  4. Go ahead and add CLM to my list of man crushes. I think he's great and don't really care that he isn't the best public speaker. When he speaks about LSU or his players it comes from the heart. CLM is passionate, loves his players, and from what it looks like ... he loves LSU!!!

    :geaux:

By the way, my list of man crushes include Jacob "Get off me" Hester, and Craig Steltz.

  5. Good post and spot on analysis. :thumb:

Les's passion for his players would be obvious to a blind man.
  6. Anyone think Lestesticle will suit up and play against OSU?
  7. If he thought that he could get away with it, YES, he would.

He is a WARRIOR and a CRUSADER cut from MEDIEVAL CLOTH.

I Love Les Miles, and just about all of our coaches and players.
  8. I hope we all realise just how good of a coach we have. I had doubts about him but not anymore.
  9. Emotion is the "X" Factor in winning most National Championships. Finding that one thing that a coach can use to motivate his players. Coach Miles is High Emotion and gets criticized for it routinely from those outside our program. CLM's motivation is a positive style which is referred to as being a players coach. He's extremely genuine with his emotion which everyone around him reacts to in a positive way. This emotion will is key to our success against Ohio State. Our two triple overtime loses will serve our guys well. We will be well rested and fight the Buckeyes to the death. We are not Florida. OSU has not been hit the way LSU is going to hit them. Our rough schedule has us battle ready. It will be 60 minutes of pure hell for OSU. I can't wait to see our guys speed against OSU! :thumb: :crystal::helmet:
  10. I love the way CLM is so passionate about his team. On the other hand, I often find his game managment nuts and his clock management horrible.

On that note, I guess you could compare him to any given player that you would love. They may have that one flaw that everyone (including myself) always is quick to point out, but they get the job done week in and week out and you still love to watch.

So I guess you could say I'm glad he is staying, I will probably still gripe about his clock managment in the future, but I'll take his passion and emotion over any coach anyday and twice on Saturday.
