    Yep.

And Coonass is a compliment, not a label. You wouldn't understand.

    And I'm kidding - sorta.

Of course you're better than 6-6. Let's call it 8-4. Florida on a good day last year. That's about right.

It's an LSU board, dude. You need to provide more proof than "talent" to explain why you think 9 straight defeats to SEC teams in bowl games doesn't define your team as a substandard SEC competitor.

Different view would be to say a 9-4 team from the Big 10 lost to Appy St. at home.

If we lose that game, we deserve to be haunted. :)

Florida, Auburn, Ga Tech, and Kentucky (not including Hawaii) is mediocre competition?

By the time Georgia played these teams...yes, mediocre. Florida was the lone big challenge. I wasn't that impressed with the Hawaii win, either. By the way, not saying this because I dislike Georgia. I just think Richt CREATED hype last year, then whined about not getting enough of it.

Definitely think Richt created some hype, as did Les Miles (undefeated in regulation - remember that?).

But Florida, Auburn and Kentucky were not mediocre competition in my opinion. They may have had mediocre records at the end of the year, but these teams battled mightily in the SEC.

Hell, Florida and Auburn almost beat the national champions and Kentucky DID beat them.

I hate pre-season polls, they are so damn stupid. College football is the only sport in the country where pre-season predictions can have a substantial effect on the determination of its champion.

Before the 2007 season, I mentioned that Moreno would likely become a standout.

Right now, I'll mention that the running back combination of Moreno and Caleb King will likely become another duo similar in effectiveness to Cadillac/Brown or McFadden/Jones.

Richt and Bobo were trying out some dual RB plays in the Hawaii game that will be run by Moreno and King this season, with, I suspect, greater effect.

Then there is the added competence of Stafford with his ability to throw deep at any time in any play action situation. Georgia will be very hard to defend against this year.

Meanwhile, the Georgia defense is very experienced and deep.

My only real concern about Georgia is how injuries might impact the team because overall, Georgia will be a much improved team over 2007.

LSU, on the other hand, has the talent, but will have to adjust to new defensive coaching leadership changes and will lack experience at a few key positions. The game in Baton Rouge should be pretty intense, especially if both teams come in undefeated at that point.
