The Gators will be stacked you can count on that. The state of Florida has great talent and UF is a top program. What makes LSU's/Saban's progam so special and distinct from UF and FSU (and many others) is our balance. LSU has NO weak link and can beat an opponent anywhere there's a let down either offensively or defensively.

One of our opponents said he thought LSU was playing with 12 or 13 men cuz we were everywhere. This is because if each player does his job then no one has to move out of positon (abandon his role) to pick up the slack, no one can be double teamed without creating an opening, etc...etc. This is why the defense can be so agressive and why the offense can score on any play. I'm really surprised more of the media haven't picked up on this and given LSU the credit they're due. Stoops made this comment yesterday. For an opponent it must be scary.

One good WR does not a team make. Florida is gonna have some big holes to fill on defense.

I'd like to know what positions those are Soap. They have talent that just hasn't been exposed yet. They're losing a DE (McCrary), but they have Jarvis Moss, who will be the next Jevon Kearse (probably). They've got good, young linebackers. They will lose Ratliff, but Dee Webb was the best CB coming out of high school last year and should fit in fine. I'll be just as scared of their defense as I am of their offense if they get some good saftey play.

As for our recruiting news, anyone know anything about Rory Johnson. I am infatuated with OLB's, and we have somewhat a lack of them, and I see on Rivals that we are in the running for him. He runs a 4.4 which is amazing for a LB.

Florida will be back on top of the East next year ... bet your house on it ... and an LSU vs Florida SECCG. They may even match up with LSU again this year in recruiting ... like they did last year. Florida is rich in FB talent ... let's hope Saban can continue and improve his Cherry pickin' there. This is no disrespect to GA, but FLA is recruiting better ... that's all.

    Found this:

"Johnson's a good OLB. He's ranked the 9th in the nation by Rivals but there are some very good LBs this year. He's very active, fast, and he makes plays sideline to sideline. As a sophomore he had 85 tackles, 7 sacks, and 3 fumbles recovered. As a junior, he had 96 tackles, 10 sacks, and 5 fumbles recovered. He says Southern Miss and LSU are his top two, but expect LSU to sign him. LSU will get his last visit and he'll announce probably right after it. He says he's ahead on his rehab."
