If this article has been posted already let me know. I will delete it http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=3801257 Interesting read.
One of the best articles ever written on him. This actually was originally posted a few months back, I guess the author of the story decided to post it again. It's buried deep in a Shepard thread somewhere on here. It deserve's to stand on it's own. Wink.
One thing we learned about these young guys, Shepard thought he could pull some kids to LSU, but they seem not influenced by another 18 year old. They seem to listen to the assistant coaches a lot more than their friends or acquaintances.
He's had some serious impact. Just because they don't commit to LSU.. doesn't mean they didn't entertain the idea.
It's really a group effort. No one person, be it coach, player, or fellow recruit, pulls in a recruit by himself. The more people we have making positive impressions on recruits the better.
I disagree. I think Shep is one of the biggest reasons Loston committed. Yes they are related but I assure you if Shep was at UT. Loston would have gone to UT as well... Just my opinion of course but I think that relationship was huge for LSU to get Loston who appears to be huge potential.
