Look, despite some of my posts severely questionng many aspects of the way CLM handled things this season I am not one of those who wants to see him fired. I would love to see him right the ship and get back to the level of his first 3 years as head coach. All 4 of the Tiger's loses were close games so with a few breaks LSU could have easily been 13-0. They just as easily could have been 7-6 or 6-7 But who among us here wouldn't love to inject Miles with truth serum and hear the real reasons why he didn't play Russell Shepard or Reuben Randle more or why he didn't override Crowton's decision to throw the ball against Ole Miss if he really felt like running to set up the winning field goal was the better option?
:milesmic: Les Miles Jr................you forgot your hat. :milesmic::milesmic::milesmic::milesmic::milesmic: Now leave people with opinions alone, until you can form your own.
Wassamatta FanZone? I know you would like to know the true answers to these questions as much as the rest of us. Without truth serum Miles will never say anything but Coachspeak
Yeah man I know where you're coming from, but imo the guys paranoid, not trying to keep secrets from us... but he prolly thinks anything he says is gonna be used against him so he tries to say as little as possible, which comes out as kinda Mil'espanol... if you're not versed in it you won't understand it. Since he's the 3rd most successful coach in LSU history and i'm not i'll let him make those other decisions... of course i'll have opinions of what i'd like to see, but since i'm not there and I don't see what he does... i'll give him the benefit of knowing who's ready for what.
Milespanol : "I no want theenk de fanaticos no unnerstand Beeezness in Lockeroom confined by de walls no go publico" :milesmic: . (I should have just written it in Spanish :hihi. But I really think Miles and the team keep stuff in the locker room. One of my customers has a daughter who Is/was an LSU cheeleader and she is engaged to one of the walk on fullbacks who was on the team during both Saban and Miles. As an example of this, he told me that the future son-in-law told him that what the public knew about Perriloux was just the "tip of the iceberg"...to quote the son-in-law. when the dad asked for details...none were offered. He kept it secret like he didn't want to betray everyone's trust. What Miles really said to JJ and the team after Ole Miss, we'll never know although he told the public he was indicating JJ was down and not telling him to clock it. Patrick Peterson may have had those cramps in Bama because he was hung over...we'll never know. What I'm saying is there's a real team mentality about the public not knowing all that goes on in private...and that's probably good coaching policy.
Miles has always been one for keeping it in the locker room. We can guess at why he chose not to play RS or Dickson, or why Holliday ran up the middle when the OL blocking was atrocious, or why there was seemingly no urgency at all in the first half, and so on, and we all probably can come to some idea. But we'll never know for sure. I think even with truth serum, Miles would just speak honest coach speak:milesmic:
Here's the one thing I know for sure. That is even if Miles isn't the best coach in the world he does know more about what is right or wrong, what to do or not to do, what to say or what not to say, about coaching than any of us. I will leave those decisions to him.
