Russell as starting QB...that's a no-brainer for anyone who actually watched the game tonight. And Gaudet kicking extra points and short FGs. Jackson is not very good. He is effective with the long kickoffs and can come in for FGs over 45 yards. Other than that, nothing. Bowe and Doucet are ready for the rest of the season. Carter may be a factor as well. Looking quite good at wideout. Addai looks like a man possessed. Lots of great depth at RB. 4th quarter will be to our advantage all year long. LSU will beat Auburn. Auburn can't pass the ball. Will be same results as last year when they couldn't put up any points til late in the game. Russell, primed and poised. Looking like a veteran already. Leading us to the promised land. Enjoy!
I agree with you about Auburn, they are one dimensional and we will probably beat them pretty soundly. JC=Just Can't throw the football! :thumb:
I can't wait for the Barn. I haven't been there in a while. I have never seen LSU win there. I hope this is the year.
islstl, you mentioned Bowe, Doucet, and Carter, but you failed to mention Craig Davis? He had a good game today apparently. I believe he will still get more playing time than Early with Skyler returning next week.
Yeah it looks like Buster could give us some quality play this year. I don't think he will be a big impact player though. Bowe already has those chores down pat.
Ah...I haven't seen alot out of Davis, yet. He looks okay, but nothing more thus far. At least he can catch, so he is an improvement over Addai at WR.
Russell Let me ask a stupid question. Should Russell have gotten more playing time tonight with Auburn coming up next week? I'm glad Flynn got some time but next week is critical and it seems Russell should have been in the game more. Maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?
I'm concerned with the fact that Russell usually telegraphs where he's throwing because he can't move his eyes.
