That's what the official Hawkometer says it is for the Football 2006 kickoff. Now, remember, I'm the guy who said the Hawks had too many question marks for their lofty expectations last year. (It hurts sometimes to be right, ugh!) But this year, look for a big rebound. We got our nemesis, Iowa State at home, OSU at home... and no Penn State. Our offense is set, our O-line will be as good as 2002 (four guys now starting in the pros)... our D-line is set... and we have some studs to fill the linebacker holes. Plus, and a big plus, the media will be hugging PSU, tOSU and Michigan... what else is new! We'll be "under the radar" again. And... what we share in common... is two pretty good basketball teams to help us pass the time. Unfortunately, they are both teams who can self-destruct at any given time. So let's just try to survive the "heart attack" to come!!
Roundball only lasts another month. Then it's LSU Baseball until June. The following 2 months are always anguish for me.
Baseball? Iowa? Big Ten??? I think there's some rule in the Big Ten where you can only play games that require air in the ball.
:hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  :hihi:  Setting my alarm clock now for 200 more days!
well that is a glass half-empty way of looking at it.. the CWS is more in your neck of the woods than ours, yet we get out and support them... but all-in-all... you're right... 200 more days! lol
I think the prospect of throwing the 'ol ball around in the snow each "spring" makes the South or West a tad more appealing to recruits.
You know Hawker, I won't lie, I've found myself rooting for the Hawkeyes more over the past year primarily because of you, so I want you to know that it's with great respect that I'm sorry to inform you that I think tOSU is probably the front-runner for the Big Ten crown this year..... But..."that's why you play the game". I look for Iowa to be 2nd (at worst, 3rd).
The Buckies host Penn State the week before they come to Iowa City, plus they will have already played at Texas... and against a pretty good Northern Illinois team. So either they'll be "seasoned" when they get here... or beat up. I'm hoping "beat up", exhausted, let-down, over-confident, looking past.... whatever... they'll have their hands full at Kinnick... just unsure of which excuse they should use....lol.
