hey Tiger fans. Now that i'm waaaaay up here in Illinois, it looks like my best chance to see my Tigers is going to be in Ocotober. Since this will be my new wife's first time experiencing an LSU football game, i want to make sure we get seats in the Tiger Fan sections. We don't want to be sittin' next to no blue and white! Purple and Gold all the way. Any idea about when tickets come up for sale? what sections were set aside for LSU? :geauxtige ...will always remember Mike V
You have three options to getting tickets. 1. Season Ticket route - Only season ticket holders can request tickets in the LSU allotment right now. Your best bet is to find a season ticket holder, that is not going to the game, and ask them to put in for a set of UK tickets when the send in their renewal. Problem is the deadline is Thursday so most people have already sent in their forms. After LSU gets all of the requests they will give out tickets based on priority. If there are still some left over after all of the season tickets requests are filled then they will sell them a individual game tickets but it is extremely unlikely that they will have any left. LSU is only alloted a small number of tickets. 2. Go through UK - You could always check on the UK end on getting a ticket that way. UK is going to have a lot more tickets for sale and they are not a big football school so your chances are better. However, you would not be in the LSU section. 3. After market - You could by them from someone else. This is your most realist option at this point. Once season ticket holders get their allotment you can start checking ebay and internet forums for people selling them. I would stay away from ebay myself because you will get ripped off but some feel the security of having tickets in hand is worth the premium. If you are patient then you will find some at face value. i will there with you in lexington. i am moving to columbus, oh in two weeks. I believe it is about 3 hours.
Just let us know and maybe we can hook up for the game or drinks. If any other tiger fans that are there maybe we all could get togather. :helmet:
This will be our first time back there since Blugrass Miracle. I wonder how their fans will react? Maybe we need to show up in larger numbers for protection.
Good Luck finding a ticket, it should not be too difficult especially if you look early enough and it seem as though you are looking early enough. This is a game that scares me. Not just because Kentucky has improved and that its a road game, because while both are true LSU has the talent to blow UK out of the stadium. But this is the classic "sandwich game" right smack dab in between Florida, which will either be an emotionally charged victory over the defending national champs and a revenge win or well you know the alternative to a win, and then the week before the second toughest opponent on the schedule Auburn (VT may be higher ranked but AU has been a tough game for 5 years now), and then 2 weeks ahead of our visit to little old Nickie's house and our beat down of Bama. Im just saying given the placement on the schedule I can see this being a tougher game than expected. But in the end it should and will be a victory for the Tigahs.
Garlic, I was looking at the schedule last month with an eye to picking a road game (being in NC this is the closest so I'll be trying to go), and the same thing jumped out at me. All the reasons you stated, plus the fact that many think UK has the best returning QB starter in the SEC - Andre Woodson, who is a Senior. I think it will be a tough game esp. if we come in undefeated and a bullseye on our back, and one of those games where we'll be just happy to get out with a win.
You won't have to worry about sitting near many UK fans for long. Once the pasting LSU is going to lay on them has commenced the UK fans will go home.
