I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong. I'm not buying it, a bit. To many losses...and, like or not (writers) in college football you just can't simply replace experience each and every year. I'm almost willing to bet they'll lose a game(s) by 2+ TD's this upcoming season.

I agree with this. I can't understand why a team that has so many holes to fill gets this much respect. The media is back to worshipping a Florida coach. Maybe, everyone thinks that Tebow will be able to jump-pass his way back to the NC. God forbid.

Well, they are the defending national champion. They deserve some respect.

Well, last year, I remember hearing about how much trouble tOSU could be in because they lost so much off the previous years' defense, and they made it to the MNC. I'm not by any means suggesting that UF will make it that far, but just because there are some losses in personnel, doesn't mean they cant win 10-11 games and get a BCS at large...

"ultimate test of manhood".... Love it!

I agree, it is like what I hear from some Bama fans. LSU will not be as good this year because JR is now in the NFL. Please give me a break.:dis:

OSU makes it to the NC. Let's see, then what happened? I was shouting from the rooftops last year that OSU was "smoke and mirrors." That semtiment mostly fell on deaf ears. It was all I could do not to gloat big time during and after NC game. I respect Florida. But, come on, they have some serious losses in personnel. The media eats Meyer up, and they already love Tebow, partly because of the illegal jump pass play last year. Florida should be sitting between 15 and 25. I acknowledge the respect LSU gets in the national media. My point is not that we don't. Florida would have made it through the Big Ten unscathed last year. I will give Meyer...a coach I despise...his due, if this season turns out to be a big success for Fla. Otherwise, I'm unconvinced.

I'll agree with Terry, and give him props for having the guts to say it.

But, the case for Florida is their recruiting the last 2 seasons. They lost a lot on defense, but last year, what did they sign, some sick 6 or 7 5-star recruits, and the year before was impressive also, like 4 5-stars. They will be young (and that will hurt some), but they WILL BE TALENTED. It's hard to predict when you haven't seen them play, but the cupboard IS NOT BARE. Meyer is a heck of a good coach. If you're going to play Fla., I say you better have your chin strap buckled up.

What was illegal about it? They had enough men on the line, the receiver was eligible, no illegal motion. As much as I hate Florida, and was pissed at losing that game, calling his jump pass anything other than really dumb looking is a stretch.
