Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU Wow, 4-star, #5 OLB in nation on scout....this class is looking awesome!
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU I like. Lot of quality this early in the year, committed to Tigertown. I like. Coach em up guys. :geaux:
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU Now. For a MLB. And another really good DT. After that, it's just lagniappe (assuming we can hold what we got...)
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU Hopefully this isn't another guy from Texas that holds an LSU commit spot while waiting for Texas to offer. We need some top notch LB's.
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU 4* OLB out of League City, TX. 6'2 210 4.46 Committed to LSU during Junior Day and has been high on LSU for awhile. He mentioned a few months back that if LSU offered he would commit on the spot. However, Texas was clearly in the picture but failed to offer this early. Randle also missed the UT Junior Day last weekend but the UT LB board is pretty stacked. Ultimately, I think he sticks with LSU till the end given we have showed him we want him, no questions asked. He got his offer today and hopefully that is it. But we will have to keep an eye on Texas to see if an offer changes things like Mike Davis last year. Kid has speed and is a perfect Chavis OLB. Also great in coverage. Excellent film below and I am really excited about #4.
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU looks like he is playing MLB on these highlights. Am I wrong? I was thinking, damn, this guy is fast for a MLB before I noticed every one calling him an OLB
Re: 2011 LB Trevon Randle Commits to LSU Yea looks like they are putting their best athlete in the middle of the field so he can get on every play. A lot of rushing the outside LBs and letting Randle run free to cover in the open field and plug the middle on run plays. Good strategy for high school. In college he has too much speed and not enough build for the inside. He can play the Harry Coleman role on the outside and drop back into coverage or rush from the end.
