1. OLB out of West St. John committed to LSU this morning during Junior Day.

Played as a DE the last 2 seasons. Very fast and hard hitter who has been getting interest from Bama, A&M, Mizzou, etc...

    6'1
    225
    4.6

He is #2 on the highlight video:

  2. Another fast start, that's 4 or 5 commits for 2012? How many do you think we take?
  3. That's 5 already.
  4. I heard this guy is real feisty.
  5. updated weight to 225

  6. Damn good size and speed for sure.
  7. Glad to see so many LB's, it has been an area of need for some time.
  8. NOTHING like a player with a purpose.
  9. I look forward to seeing this kids 5 star status.

One of the best high school highlight tapes I've seen since Jeff Luc out of Florida who comitted to FSU two years ago....

If this is not 5* tape for a defender, what is.

Man it's great to be an LSU Tiger.
  10. Do you follow recruiting much?

No offense, but I'm just curious because I think you're overestimating a little bit. The tape is good, but if you think that is the best Defensive highlight tape you've seen in years, you obviously haven't seen Jadaveon Clowney's tape.

I'm all for a bit of homerism and I'm glad we got this guy as he seems like a good pickup, but I've seen nothing on his videos, heard nothing from recruiting sites, or from other LSU recruiting followers, that indicates that this guy is going to be an elite Top 15-20 in the nation player.

However, he does look good. Seems to have good speed into the backfield on rushes. That may hurt him at first with SEC play because if you get too far into the backfield too quickly, fast SEC backs will tear you up to the inside. Vision is good and he sheds blockers well in most cases. He seems to play laterally down the line well and takes good angles. His tackling could use a bit more form and wrap-up and if you watch some other videos from his team, he seems to begin dragging a little on a few plays when he doesn't think that he's going to be in on the tackle. Overall, looks like another good pickup for the Tigers.
