#27 Darrent Williams shot and killed

Wonder how Coach Miles will react after the death of Williams, Miles coached him at OSU...

I didnt realize it, but Darrent Williams is the third NFL player to be shot in the past 12 months and the first to die. This is a problem...These players need to learn that being in a bad part of town, at 3am is not where you want to lose your life.

 

Was he in a bad part of town? The reports I've seen said a downtown nightclub--most of the time those aren't really in the ghetto. But I'm not familiar with downtown Denver.

The Dallas player that was shot last summer was driving on 635 (LBJ)--that's in the middle of north Dallas, not the hood.

 

It's hard for me to understand how that can happen in any part of any town in America. It's unfortunately sad that Americans have to worry about being shot by Americans on our soil.

 

The only ghetto in Denver is the hispanic part of town, and even that's nicer than most BR slums. Just signs in Spanish and maybe a few empty buildings, other than that normal. I didn't even know that people in Denver shot eachother.

I highly doubt this is some big plot. It's a lot more likely that some ahole at the bar had a few to many and got pissed off because all of the women in the bar were floating around the young pro athletes with lots of money. So the liquored up ahole confronts the players and when he realizes exactly how large even the smallest professional athletes are he decides to show them how much of a man he is by shooting him.

you know the kids these days... they feel they need to earn respect by popping a cap in someone.. thank you hip hop you are such a benefit to society....
