in other opening day news... #1 South Carolina only beat Virginia Military Academy 2-1 #3 UNC lost 4-10 to Xavier #4 Virginia lost 3-5 to BC #9 Georgia Tech lost 0-5 to Kent State #11 St Johns lost 4-11 to Mich St #16 Clemson lost 3-4 to UAB etc
that very good AF pitcher, Sean Carley, was listed as the starter but he ended up not pitching against us, not sure if we'll face him tomorrow or if they use him against Alcorn St.
Mardi Gras has consumed me the past few weeks. I had to give up my tickets for this weekend. I'll get back into baseball next week.
Not a bad start. Air Force is no where near SEC competition though. Positives: Jackson Slaid looked good at the plate and could provide some power. We looked good on defense. Overall a nice 1st game effort.
