#8 LSU vs United States Air Force Academy -- Baseball Season Opener

I'd ask everyone how we looked out there, but looks like there is only one person to ask in this thread haha, soooo does the team look pretty comfortable out there?

 

What happened? Only one person on the thread. Has the interest in LSU baseball sunk to such a low?

 

expect LSU to take the #1 spot in all the polls next vote

we did put our 2nd string in pretty early compared to most blow outs

 

in other opening day news...

#1 South Carolina only beat Virginia Military Academy 2-1

#3 UNC lost 4-10 to Xavier

#4 Virginia lost 3-5 to BC

#9 Georgia Tech lost 0-5 to Kent State

#11 St Johns lost 4-11 to Mich St

#16 Clemson lost 3-4 to UAB

etc

that very good AF pitcher, Sean Carley, was listed as the starter but he ended up not pitching against us, not sure if we'll face him tomorrow or if they use him against Alcorn St.

 

Mardi Gras has consumed me the past few weeks. I had to give up my tickets for this weekend.

I'll get back into baseball next week.

 

Not a bad start. Air Force is no where near SEC competition though. Positives: Jackson Slaid looked good at the plate and could provide some power. We looked good on defense. Overall a nice 1st game effort.

 

The Tigers are now 2-0 after a 19-0 win over Alcorn State. :thumb:
