When you're the only game in town, everybody's a fan.

I'm curious to know the true attendance from these games. While in Oxford this weekend to watch the Tigers, I attended the Red/Blue game for Ole Miss. Their stadium was roughly 20% full and I believe only holds 60,000 or so, yet they announced the attendance at 26K+.

You can't really call it paid attendance when some tickets are free and others are only a dollar.

Schools that go by sold tickets are inflated, obviously. I watched Ole Miss' game on TV and it looked like they had 5,000, maybe. Auburn had fewer as well, but who cares. I like football enthusiasm in the spring...even though I do love listening to Big Papi slump theories all day...

I am hoping UAB's was a closed scrimmage because on the news that night they literally had two fans in attendance. Some couple on the first row. ;)

Yeah he'll be better now since they removed his buried jersey under New Yankee Stadium.
