I think I fall into the sunshine pumper category although I'm not afraid to be critical when criticism is deserved. Concerning Mr. Harris, who wears the greatest number and my number throughout my sports history as a youth, 6.
The debate rages on, has Brandon Harris been given a fair shot? is 6 wasting away on the pine? is Miles squandering an opportunity to get Harris some significant snaps? will Harris transfer because he feels he isn't being treated fairly? is Harris ready for prime time? is he going to be the talent he was projected to be or just another tailback pretending to be a qb?
Honestly, who knows the answer to any of those questions? We all have opinions but as it has been said they are like assholes, everyone has one.
Which brings me to this.....
Alabama Crimson Tide @ The Fighting Tigers/Bayou Bengals of Louisiana State University. 11/8/14 the top rivalry of this decade takes place again, before 102,000 in the place where dreams come to die, Death Valley, Baton Rouge, EBRP, Louisiana, Southeast Region, United States, North America, Northern and Western Hemispheres, Earth, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Observable Universe.
I believe and it think most objectionable college football followers would agree that Nick Saban is a head coach with few weaknesses. However there is one weakness that I feel can be exploited, and that would be Saban's trouble making in game adjustments for things he has not prepared for. A prime example of this is how Saban's defense in 2011 at home made a Jordan Jefferson who hadn't played all season look like a younger Michael Vick. He was not prepared for Jordan Jefferson a quarterback who at his best was mediocre, and at his worst was about as bad a qb as there ever has been. I believe the time to use Brandon Harris is now. I would not start him, I would not say at any point he is going to play, I would however prepare him like every other week, as if there would be a chance he plays. Which if you listen to a lot of people on this board is never again unless AJ gets hurt. So why not bring him in to spell AJ with read option packages running the hurry up offense? Another weakness of Saban, so much so that he is trying to get the rules changed so he doesn't have to face them anymore. I can guarantee you he will not game plan for Brandon Harris, or the read option, and all of this not playing Harris or giving him meaningful snaps talk will die if Harris has some success running the ball, and then even throwing.
