Denniston, 25, a member of the Tigers from 1998-2001, was injured on Sunday, Feb. 6, in a sledding accident near Laramie, Wyo., that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He underwent surgery on Monday night on his back where surgeons fused vertebrae T-9, T-10, T-1 and T-12, and cleaned out bone chips in Dave's spine. In response to his needs and the cost that is associated with his surgery and rehabilitation, the Auburn swimming and diving team has created the Dave Denniston Fund. The money raised through donations will go directly to the coverage of medicals bills for the next several years. To make a donation, please make checks out to The Dave Denniston Fund and mail to: The Dave Denniston Fund c/o Auburn Swimming Office PO Box 351 Auburn, AL 36831-0351 http://www.auburntigers.com/page.cfm?doc_id=564 Word on Dave Denniston’s condition may not come for a few days.
