Man where have you been. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: That was common knowledge by early Sunday morning. You know Les Miles is our coach now. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
I keep hearing people say this is the most talented team and that may have been so when we recruited these players, but we all know that college and high school are two different things. I'm not saying this team isn't talented, but there's a chance that this team isn't the most talented in the country, much less the most talented ever to be assembled at LSU. Only time will tell.
How do you think people felt about Saban when he lost the opener to UAB? He didn't turn out too bad. I'm not making a comparison between their coaching abilities, but good things have come out of seemingly bad situations.
well, then to really know how significant the UT loss was we need to know how many times has LSU been up 21 to a #10 team. Maybe never. plus too many other factors, were the other lsu teams in similar situations learning a new D? was the other lsu team somewhat handicapped by having one less game under their belt this early in the season? did the other opponents, change qb at half (ok near half)
Willing to put a bet on it? If Miles gets it done this season with only losing one more game then you have to pay for scrappys membership. If Miles chokes and this is just the begining of the end then I will pay for scrappys membership.
Here's another weapon to add to the arsenal: whenever someone comes at you with, "What if they win out and go 10-1? Is Miles still a bad coach then?", reply simply with the following: "Mike Archer" "1987" "10-1-1" Amazing what even a mediocre coach can do short-term with the sick talent accumulated by his predecessor. Let's see what the W-L record is after, say, year 3 of the Miles "dynasty", then draw conclusions. Right now, he's not looking too good from where I stand.
