Independence Bowl is traditionally a competitive game. Some of the best games of the bowl season over the last twenty years or so. Miss. St. vs. TamU, LSU vs. Notre Dame, LSU vs. Michigan State, Alabamas vs. Iowa St., Virginia Tech vs. Indiana, Wisconsin vs. Kansas St., Ole Miss vs. Air Force. Don't be a bowl snob, the people of Shreveport always do a good job and the bowl has been around since 1976, Sugar or Rose Bowl, no!, but a good game and time for the athletes, most definitely.
You mean you don't support the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl? or GODADDY.com BOWL? or TAXSLAYER.com GATOR BOWL? or Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl? or BELK BOWL? :thumb:
Nothing was better at show how ridiculous sponsorship of the bowl ate than the Poulan Weed Eater Independance Bowl.
Yup the weather up here sucks, it's been raining since Fri/Sat non-stop. Not exactly picturesque weather to sit in the stands and watch a game.
