and make no mistake they're going down. Not a bad thing since LSU will be the last SEC team to win.

Tressel sweatervest has a clause in his current contract he gets a new one with a :crystal: .

How much does he love Saban and how close does he get to 4 mill per and how many years.

you can bet it will be close to sick nabans.

You say that after watching USC spank Michigan. If Ohio State plays at the same speed as Michigan they will be in for a long night. JMO

comparing games is faulty and a big reason why vegas prospers.. I can say the same about UCLA and USC. makes for fool's gold. Yet that wasnt really the point of the thread. we can discuss after they lose.

Sorry, just think that Florida may do better than everyone thinks. But do you really think that Ohio State will pony up that kind of money if they win. I just think the Universities around the country dont want this Saban thing to set new expectations for coaches salaries.

I know I'm not alone in this thinking, but I posted in another thread yesterday that this is the reason why Bama's deal is gonna wreck college football as we know it. By the way, I wouldn't lay my money on OSU. (I wouldn't lay it on UF, either, but I'm just saying):thumb:

once the door is opened there's no going back. thats a fact, jack. Im thinking 3.2 or more plus incentives/5 years or so. just a guess.

and yeah troy smith is a winner and his team plays better because of it. I just see a mixed bag of talent with UF, nothing special. But thats simply my opinion of course.

    Actually
    Mack Brown
    Jim Tressel
    Pete Carroll

All of them will be knocking on their AD doors come next week..

that is ONE reason Saban will be at Bama for awhile, no school is going to pay him what Bama is, and the NFL wont have him back...

There are rumors that if OSU wins, Tressel could pull an anti-Saban and head to the Browns. He has no buy out option IF he wins the national championship.

Now I'm not saying he will, but it's good discussion stuff. If he won a championship with OSU and THEN somehow turned Cleveland around (they're already on their way after losing that idiot scout Chris Landry), he would be king of Ohio. By a wide margin.

Until they found all of the dead bodies in his basement, anyway. Crazy lookin' SOB.

For some reason, I find myself pulling more for UF now that Saban has gone to Bama. Not sure why. I guess I want the rest of the SEC to be that much better than him.

But, I do not think that the Gators will pull this one off. Their success this year has largely come as a result of their opponents' mistakes. They wouldn't even be in this game if it wasn't for a plethora of our own. OSU does not slip up much, if at all. I think it will be somewhat close, because UF's defense is a lot better than I gave them credit for prior to the SECCG.
