The guy really does know baseball. I think its just the lack of motivation. This team's confidence is so far down that it will take something special to bring it back up. He said that he is trying to get a sports psychologist to talk to the team. I hope he does and does so soon. I remember Skip doing this back in the day and it really helped. What do you guys think?
This whole "Sports Psychology" thing..............? I'm not sure how to feel about it. I wouldn't want to be on a team and have that coach bring Dr. Ruth in. The team listens to these shows also, why would he say something like that on the air? They're probably thinking that not only are they in a slump, but half crazy also. I say stick to the basics. Leave the shrinks out of it. All they'll do is screw their heads up.
im not sure how many lies you can lump in one post but you racked a few up. really, who? how do you know he didn't? when skip's teams underperformed before or after winning it all, did that mean skip didnt know what he was doing? really? how many games do you attend? how many players do you talk to on a regular basis? is that so? based on what? yeah i remember all our fundamental teams. and you go to practice regularly? this is one horrible post. I'm almost embarrassed for you.
LSU is not struggling because they can't bunt. They are struggling because they can't hit. They are not hitting solidly or in a timely manner. Laval spoke with a couple of peers who suggested he go the sports psychologist route, which apparently he has decided to do. Only time will tell if that works. But this year is beginning to look rather dismal. Everyone was expecting a strong team this year. What a bitter disappointment.
