Before the season many of us were predicting 8-3. Well that is still probably the end result. And you know what 8-3 is fine with me. Think about it, many chips are stacked against us. To Auburn it was the game of the year, for UGA it was what some UGA players called the super bowl of College football. UGA had a week off to play us, we were on the road AND everyone wants to beat LSU. We are so young across the board. We have a QB situation that needs to be resolved, and yes I hate to say it, but we will probably be beat by UF as well. After that LSU goes undefeated in my opinion. But you know what, next year when the schedule swings back to our favor, the National Title shine is gone. LSU will be back. Why have we not had an open date like everyone else ? While Texas is playing Rice, Baylor and North Texas, LSU is playing two top 10 teams on the road. OU, USC, have not even played a ranked team. We have freshman all over the field. Auburn next year, will be worse then us, no Campell, their running game vanishes. My point its a new team, a young team. Give them and our coach a break, look what all they have given us.

I cannot express how disgusted I was with the Saban bashing, but hey its a free country I guess. This guys is the greatest thing to happen to LSU football in my lifetime. He has made our program an elite. So we got hammered. OU got hammered by K-State last year. We hammered UGA last year. It happens, the sky is not falling. Saban will make us champions again. Mark my word, its not our year, someone else will enjoy the limelight.

I still love our Tigers, last night I went out decked in LSU gear. I am sure I am not the only one. I am still proud. We are defending national champions.

So moving forward. We probably get beat soundly by UF, then we regroup and finish the season undefeated, 8-3. Still pretty damn good in my estimation.

It's not the loss that is so discouraging it's the way the team was manhandled and seemed so unprepared to play a quality team. Saban is still a great coach but he is human and is capable of making mistakes like the rest of us. Criticism and critique should be kept respectable but should be allowed after such a poor showing. There is too much talent on the team and the coaching staff to get demolished the way we did yesterday and some fans are understandably frustrated. It's not the wins or losses IMO it's the level of play and total lack of fundamentals. Time to patch the holes and get ready for a really good Florida team. If we can't get pressure bringing the house we had better play some zone. If our OL can't even get in the DL's way we had better go shotgun 5 wide and throw quick.

Good post and I couldn't agree more.
Maybe we will have a better game against Florida though but we shall see.

I am just shocked at the Saban bashing. Just shocked, they guy has brought us ALL that we ever dreamed, he runs a classy clean program that has more Championships in three years then many of our rivals have in 50. Auburn, sure they are great this year. May even win the SEC. But you know what they still have one more SEC and a National Title to go before they can say, he we are at LSU's level..

People are missing a really really really huge picture here. Maybe this is just what our team needs to realize, "Hey when you are on top, people dont roll over and die, they want to put a feather in their cap to.. By beating the most dominant team in the SEC in the last 4 years"

Look I may have drinken the Saban cool-aid but to suggest even hint this guy is not giving us the best. Please. sure he makes mistakes hes human. But 6 days to Sunday I cannot think of a coach I want more on my sideline then Nick Saban win or lose.

I agree there is no one I would rather have as a head coach but there have been mistakes made that need to be corrected. Like I said criticism and critique should be kept respectable.

People were also calling for his head after the Ole Miss loss at home a few years ago if my memory serves me correctly.
Look at what happened after this game.

Then came the Florida game last year, of all teams I didn't want to lose to Florida @ home after all the Darth Visor beatings that I'm still getting over.
Look at what Nick did with this team then.
It wouldn't surprise me if we win every game from now on like we did in 2000.
I'm not so sure our D is as good as predicted but hey, Georgia proved you can play
sloppy and then get your act together and play perfect, lights out.

There is no other coach I would dream of having, he is a great recruiter not to mention
    a great coach.
He is somebody so he can land and teach recruits that other schools can't.
LSU football has NEVER been in better shape than right now except last year, we just have some growing pains.

This is a young team. What does everyone want, a NC every year? Guess what, its not going to happen. I am proud of this LSU team even though they played crappy yesterday, they played the full 60 minutes. I can't believe people are bashing Saban. Who in their right phukin mind thought that we were going to go 11-0 this year. We have a tough road schedule this year and I for one will be happy with 8-3 this year. People are putting too much on this team this year. My god, JR is only 19 and this is his 3rd SEC game. Look at UT's young QB's, they got smoked yesterday. It takes time to become a champion SEC quarterback and a champion SEC team. This conference is stacked with talent so it is no surprise that someone else has stepped up their game.

Let GA and AU make the run this year and let them savor it because it will be the last time for a long time that either of them will see the SECCG game.

    Geaux Tigers and Geaux Saban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FightenTiger, no comment on your dumb ass comment.

I can be objective, I look at a bigger picture while Fans like you are knee jerk and claim the sky is falling, its fans like you that will cause a coach that has brought LSU so much wealth on and off the field to walk out the door.
Dont know about you but a comment like "Our team is poorly coached" struggling to find critisism in that post. Sure I think he needs to end the QB experiment. But to say "Our team is poorly coached" is not only stupid, but flat out ignorant.

Its a free country as I said, you and I simply disagree I guess. I will keep the insults to your side of the isle.
