    After The Smoke Clears:
and the pain of losing Saban and the bowl game fades will the majority get on board and support Miles? I'm not jumping for joy over the hire but I'm willing to give the guy a chance and support him. Despite all the posts one way or another no one really knows whether he will be a big success or a bust. I will support him and the team as I watch carefully the moves he makes in hiring assistants and bringing in recruits hoping that he will get the job done. It's time to say GEAUX MILES AND GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Without a doubt as far as I'm concerned but I'm sure Les Miles wasn't the top dog for
the job we all envisioned whenever Saban left.
Lets face it, the timing of this killed us, if it would've happened when Spurrier was looking for a job we could've had him for the coach.
This years recruiting class may be a bust but we'll be back.

Assistants will be everything when you think about Dinardo's assistants when he started compared to when he left, big difference.

To me, I am not worried about anyone on here or in LSU Country not being behind Miles.....everyone at Florida was behind Zook....but I just question whether we will give Les a fair chance to have success at LSU. I think someone pointed out how much Saban struggled at times, and yes...I do understand that during Saban's struggles his team was not near what it is today....so I do expect Miles to win 9+ games at least for the next 2 years.....but will a lot of people turn on Miles after his first 1-2 losses or will a lot have his back?

I think Saban's legacy at LSU will grow insanely as Miles becomes our coach.

Miles may be able to salvage recruiting a little this year... DeJean Farr was committed to Miami, but he was told he would be the only TE, they have another now also, so he may be able to decomit him. DeMarcus Granger said he like him, Miles is close with RP and his ESJ coach.... and he will probably bring some recruits with him from OSU.

I agree with you. Everyone has to start somewhere. Who knows maybe Miles will be better than Saban and just needs the right tools to prove it. You can not make everyone happy. I think that everyone should reserve judgment until after the first game of 2005 is played. We are all spoiled and of course want what is best for LSU. As the saying goes wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one gets full first. The fans may want one thing, LSU another and yet the coaches they approach may not want to coach at LSU. So, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet, he hasn’t accepted anything yet.
