1. I was looking at the breakdown of Alabama Seniors and this is the year they better get it done. After this year is when the probation starts taking its toll.

Their defense has alot of seniors. Even though their offense does not it has not been impressive and they lose their starting QB also.

Prothro may not return with the same speed as before .

They will be competitive but not in the National Title picture.

LSU needs to be the one to ruin there season this year just like they crushed our dreams alot when Charlie Mac was here.

In the sea saw battle of Karma this must be LSU time to get some payback.

Charlie Mac i know you have the 12th circled on your calender up their in heaven. Maybe you and the Bear will watch it together if he can get a weekend pass from the heat. :hihi:

    Lets Get er done Tigers
  2. Another case of an opposing fan not knowing what he's talking about. So you checked out our list of seniors did you? Well then I'm guessing you took no time in checking out their backups or the underclassmen? You assume since we lose a lot of seniors that we are going to have a major drop off next year, well it's not going to happen. Our running game will be the best in the SEC next year with Darby coming back and with last year's top recruit, Mike Ford, coming in from JC...not to mention Coffee, Johns, and Upchurch who is redshirted this year. At QB will be either JP Wilson or Jimmy Barnes (Army All-American last year). Inexperience will play a role but so will a healthy Prothro, DJ Hall, Keith Brown, Zeke Knight and one more guy. His name is Nikita Stover, he was our #1 recruit two years ago and will be back next year at WR from JC. He's outstanding, was supposed to be the best WR we had, we'll see if that holds true. The O-line will be much improved, they're young this year and are getting better already. We already have two 4 star commits this year with Andre Smith, the #2 overall prospect in the nation, close to signing with the Tide. Tim Castille returns at FB. As for the defense, a lot of seniors will leave, it's true. However, our defensive line will return Gilberry, Britt, and Greenwood who is a true freshman and is playing great. Lorenzo Washington and Brandon Fanney will most likely start as they returned from JC this year but haven't seen the field much because the D-line is already so good. We lose Demeco and Roach at LB, that will be the place we're hit the hardest. We return our other LB in Juwan Simpson who has NFL talent and we have more than capable backups who have played great in back up roles this season. The secondary will be fine with Castille, Robinson, Dukes returning. Our secondary commits from last year ranked in the top 5 in the country and are already challenging the starters for playing time this year. By the way, our secondary is one of the best in the nation. So basically you just said we'd have a drop off because we lose seniors, you had no idea who we returned and who we have at backup positions. By the way, probation problems are just now ending, not beginning. We signed a full class last year and our roster is getting closer to full strength every year. Probation hurt us the last 2 years and even some this year with depth, but now it's over. We have more depth now than we've had in a few years and we're only getting stronger. Nice try though. :thumb:
  3. did you forget that Mr Broussard will be back at LSU and he may have something to say about that.
  4. Isnt it amazing that every one of your backups is better than the people you have starting.

    Give me a break.

    Bama colored Glasses.

Your offense is anemic this year and that is with the eigth wonder of the world Croyle at the helm.

You will be competitive but you wont be in the NC hunt for the next few years at least.

You are assuming Prothro can even return with the same skills. OMG an Army game all American. I bet he wins the Heisman for you guys next year.

Are you forgetting about Alley Broussard. Irons at Auburn, Etc.

Best in the SEC are you Kidding?

    Bama colored Glasses!!!
  5. Uh, Calco. LSU had better get it done this year, too.

We lose a TON of impact players in the spring from a couple of Nick's top-2 recruiting classes. 4th and 5th-year seniors.

    RB Joe Addai
    RB Shyrone Carey
    FB Kevin Steltz
    C Rudy Niswanger
    OG Terrell McGill
    OG Nate Livings
    OT Andrew Whitworth
    WR Skyler Green
    WR Bennie Brazell
    TE David JOnes
    S Ronnie Prude
    CB Mario Stevenson
    LB E.J. Kuale
    LB Ken Hollis
    LB Cameron Vaughn
    LB Jason Spadoni
    DE Melvin Oliver
    DT Kyle Williams
    DT Brandon Washington
    DT Claude Wroten

These are the men that won 2 SEC and one National Championship for us. At least 11 of these guys are being looked at by pro scouts.

Juniors Laron Landy, Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis might get a look from the NFL, too.

Next year LSU suffers a big drop-off in experienced talent (especially on defense) and we have to play our toughest opponents on the road, again.
  6. I never said Bama's backups were better than the starters, learn to read. I said they were good. I also never said Jimmy Barnes, the Army All-American, was going to be better than Brodie. I was just pointing out that he is a promising prospect so it's not like we're gonna go from Brodie to some walk on. Wilson will probably start anyways. And yes, Bama's running game will be the best in the SEC next year. Darby is better than Irons and Broussard. This year he is the 3rd leading rusher in the SEC with an O-line that is not very good. He is getting little help from the line and is having to make his own holes. AU's and LSU's O-lines are much better than Bama's but still Darby is right at the top of the SEC in rushing. Next year Darby will be back with the guys I mentioned earlier (Ford,Upchurch,Coffee). The O-line will be much improved because of the commits we have coming in plus the younger starters we have now will be more experienced, plus we have Castille returning at FB. Irons has had 2 good games and everybody is ready to make him a Heisman candidate. I know yall are because he ran all over you.
  7. That is quite a bit of talent leaving. Does that mean that LSU is going to have a huge drop off next year Calco? I bet you know a lot about your backups and how good they are, and the recruiting classes yall have put together. I bet you'll say that LSU is going to be a top 5 team next year even though all of this talent is leaving but Bama...well no they're just screwed.

  9. Dont disagree with you Red55.

Our SEC schedule is tougher next year on the road and we do lose alot.

But there is still alot of talent coming back in our skill positions on offense.

We have recruited well on defense. We will need some linebackers to step up in order to have a solid D.

I just think the probation hits Bama a little harder next year versus this year when they have a senior laden defense this year and lose their starting QB.
  10. Haha, exactly what I just said about my team. We have also recruited well, have great skill position players coming back on offense, and we will need linebackers to step up for our defense to stay strong. Probation would only hit us hard if we still had depth problems but next year we'll be full strength again, we signed a full class last spring and will again this spring. So basically we have the same situation yall do but Bama is screwed and LSU will be just fine...now whose glasses are tinted?
