I've tailgated for many LSU road games in the SEC except for Alabama. Our crew is not familiar with the area. Can anyone who is going or has been give us a general location where there are Tiger fans and not much trouble with the Bama Punks:wink:

I need to know too because I plan on going, and I've never been.

Don't try to avoid us. We welcome all visitors and want to tailgate with you. We plan to party hardy and know that ya'll do also. Win, lose, or draw, we are proud of our team and want to support them, but we don't expect to take it out on the opposing fans. Let's make your Bama experience a great one.

It's cool here...You wont get harrassed. Maybe a few "Roll Tide's" yelled your way but you should enjoy it even if you're surrounded by UA fans. We are friendly and respectful to visitors...

A couple of questions first. What day are you going to be in town? Are you staying in a hotel, or bringing a RV?

Theres 9 of us and we are staying in a hotel Friday and Saturday night. We do not have an RV, just 3 pickups loaded with tailgating gear.

It's a 2:30 kickoff so you want to hit campus around 9AM. Seriously. The West side of campus will be loaded with a lot of college students compared to the East side being mostly the "adult" variety. If I were you, I'd try to get a spot around the Athletic complex, because any closer to campus is going to be taken up by that point. If you can get around Hackberry or 6th Avenue you'll be in the middle of it all...just a stones throw from the Quad and a 5 minute walk to the stadium.

Are you going to be in T-town or in B-ham? The strip (west side of campus on University Blvd) is a great place to hang out before games...

Believe you me, the atmosphere in Tuscaloosa isn't what you'll find in most college towns...you'll be treated with respect and hospitality. It's just our thing.

We usualy try and get out there around 6:00. Some of us are staying in town a few others will be in Birmingham.

I only asked about the crowd/punks because two years ago we had a problem in Oxford and this time we will have a 13 yr old with us, so I would like to avoid that scenario.

    Thanks for the help
