I havent heard much about Ali Highsmith until I read the Purple and Gold magazine. Does anyone have any inside info on this kid?
Committed to Miami last year, did not qualify. Sat out this year and is now enrolled at LSU. Rivals had him listed as a 3star, #16 ranked OLB last year. 6-2, 221, 4.5 40. Had offers from Miami, LSU, Auburn, and Ohio State to name a few.
Is he going to count against this years signing class? Is he really good? Will he make an impact at LSU?
If he comes in this year he has to count against this years class, what other class could he count against? And while he was only a 3 star player coming out of high school everyone of the services said he is a tremendously talented kid. Hopefully he is a great one but I wouldn't expect him to be very good right off the bat as he hasn't played in over a year. Next fall will probably be when he starts to make an impact.
He will count towards this year's class. He's supposed to be an impact player....So let's hope he fits that bill. (It definately sounds like he will).
I saw tape on this guy last night. Not sure about his size, but the kid has got speed. Lot's of speed for a LB.
