who want to have "contributor" status but can't afford it should get a free ride on Tiger Forums. That is my proposal to Brett and if it is not financially feasible then we should set up an "adopt a band member" section where contributors can pay for a band member's subscription for a year. The Golden Band From Tigerland is THE best in the country and I personally would like to give back to them for all the hard work they do. I don't know if any current band members post here or just lurk but I want anyone who is a band member to know that your hard work does not go unnoticed. I'll be the first one to sponsor any band member who would like the benefits of "contributor" status. :thumb:
The GBFTL is trying to raise $5 million towards a new band hall by Sept. 2008. Your idea is a great one, but if you want to offer some support to the band, you might consider making a donation to their fundraising effort for a new band hall. http://www.bands.lsu.edu/Tiger_Band_Complex/index.php I'm not a member of the band, but they told us about it yesterday at the TAF tailgate in the PMAC. If they meet their $5 million dollar goal by Sept. 2008, they will get a matching $5 million from the state.
If the crowd is the 12th man on the field then the band is certainly the 13th. They lead more cheers than the cheerleaders who, by the way, should be included in this as well. Count me in. I'll sponsor.
I wouldn't mind having some cheerleaders on the board :thumb:, and heck how could y'all forget the Golden Girls as well?
