one thing i thought was interesting, isn't Ohio State like 0-8 or 0-9 vs the SEC in bowl games? thats pretty pathetic, they have a great program but they can't win vs the SEC in bowl games
College football Data Warehouse has pretty much everything record wise. http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/
What were the reasons for Georgia Tech and Tulane to both leave the SEC? Were they forced out or did they leave on their own? LSUDAN
They both left on their own. GA Tech claimed different academic standards or something and Tulane did in a way as well. Tulane wasn't competitive in the SEC when they left and they blamed it on different academic standards. Tulane leaving the SEC has to rank as one of the dumbest moves ever in the history of college football. Tech was independent for awhile then joined the ACC.
I heard it also had something to do with the Aints and Dirty Birds setting up shop in their respective cities. Something to the effect that they couldnt compete. I dont know how leaving a strong conference helps them compete better. Guess they both know that now though.
LSU has one more bowl win than the SEC, NCAA or LSU shows; In 1907 LSU played in the Bacardi Bowl vs Havana University. It was the second bowl game every played and the first time a college time played outside of the USA.
