Auburn LB/DE Alonzo Horton of Abramson/NO learned Saturday that his two brothers were killed by hurricane Katrina. That makes it tough on a team and coaching staff to get up for a game.

Did he find out before the game???

    And did he play???

Edit:: Wow, that came off as very insensitive. Me and my mouth. I just was curious how he handled it. Had to be tough to handle. That is the first sad story I've heard from an athlete. The other two national stories came out good as both players heard from their families during the games.

    God bless him!

I have 1 brother, and I know that without him, I would be torn to shreds!

Let's see, it would have been nice if Proud Tiger would have ended his post after the first sentence. Not sure why he is using such a tragedy to confirm suspicions he may have about the play of his beloved Auburn team.

Secondly, ChosenOne is trying to call him on it and I have no idea why.....who gives a sh!t

    We're talking people's lives here.....screw football

My understanding is he found out earlier in the day....before the game. I don't believe he played. He is a 2005 signee and is not on the three deep roster.

I deserved that big time..... I caught myself and edited my post.

I wasn't trying to call him out though. Was just wondering.

    I truly apologize.

I was in no way trying to use this tradegy as an excuse for us losing. I simply was stating that this must have had a sad impact on the team and coaches. Why do you have to read something negative into it?

No apology neccessary. I took it as an honest question and in way no way felt you were trying to call me out. :thumb:
