I don't follow horse racing, this year even less than most but I alays root for whichever horse wins the Kentucky Derby to win the Triple Crown. Justify won the Preakness today and is only one race away. I didn't watch it live but I just saw a replay, or as much as I could see through the fog when they were on the backstretch. Justify is a mudder. Maybe his father was a mudder and his mother was a mudder too.
I've paid a little attention lately, because a woman I know was a minority owner of last year's Derby winner and also had a horse in this year's Derby. Used to be a big fan when I was a kid, can still remember watching Secretariat's runs. If you've never seen it, the SportsCentury edition about Secretariat is well worth the watch.
I always root for a horse that has won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness to win the Triple Crown. So I was rooting for Justify to win today. At least I was until just a minute ago. I just found out that the owner of the horse is George Soros, the ultra liberal anti gun billionaire.
