According to this guy, LSU is #7 http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/columns/story?columnist=luginbill_tom&id=2738848
And you can go to a different recruiting service and get a different ranking. But, the point is, a lot of teams from the SEC are recruiting machines. LSU is one of the best in the nation, under CNS, and under Miles.
You know, I signed up for the ESPN Insider, but so far the only bonus is that they charge me $6 a month for access to premium articles and 2 issues of ESPN the Mag. I hate their recruiting coverage, it's all backwards and biased. Go with Rivals- they've got us 4th.
I wish college football could be more uniform in rankings of teams (AP, Harris, USA Today, BCS) and also in assigning *'s to recruits, in turn, ranking teams' recruiting.
Why? Recruiting rankings don't mean nearly as much. Not to mention that objectivity is already a rarity in recruiting... the likelihood of seeing a blanket definition of it is nil.
