LSU Dominates Oregon, Should Be Number One Team in the Country : Outkick The Coverage

    This hit home for me.

"Ever since last year's head-to-head win over Nick Saban in Death Valley, LSU fans have finally done the impossible -- fallen in love with the Mad Hatter."

I definitely get the feeling that the tide has turned (God did I just say that?) and we're just gonna enjoy the ride on the Les Miles whacky train from here on out.

Miles is quirky. However, he puts good coaches on the field, is great recruiter AND the kids love playing for him. I don't know how anyone can debat that? I liked what I saw from him and the offense last week. Not the most productive outing, but, they were in control and seemed very calm and prepared. There was none of this check down at the line and scramble to call a play before the play clock runs out, like we have seen the last three years. There was no confusion at all. I hope it is because Miles and Studthorpe see eye to eye on the offense. Changing OC may be the best thing that Miles has done, other than hiring Chavis, since he has been at LSU. I thought he would go down in flames holding on to Crowton's coat tails. This week will tell me how much that is true. The last few years we have struggled putting away the weaker opponents and have needed the 4th quarter to win the game. IF we can take care of business and see Mettenberger take the reigns half way through the 3rd quarter, I will know that Miles has righted the ship and I will feel a whole lot more comfortable moving on with the season.
