1. This has the Ole Miss fans here in Mississippi pissed off because their paper covers LSU as much as it covers the Rebels. Any MS residents on TF know exactly what I'm saying. Their fans cry about it everyday to the Sun Herald, talk about it on the job...etc. I may not be old enough to call Ole Miss my most hated team, but they are to LSU, what Auburn is to Bama. :hihi: :hihi:

  2. well, you could say that it is because gulf coast mississippi, and some of alabama are extensions of louisiana.. common heritage, culture, going all the way back to the first settlements.. the rest of mississippi and alabama are tied closer to north Louisiana.. they have a common culture from the westward migration from the Carolina's in the early 1800's...
  3. I realize that Loco, but it don't stop the Rebel fans over here from bitching about more LSU coverage than the Mississippi teams :) :) :) :) :) :)

  4. A lot of the old buildings in the downtown area of Mobile, AL look like they could have been transplanted from New Orleans. Even a lot of the street names are the same as street names in NO. The similarity stops there. The food is nothing like New Orleans and the media coverage is all Alabama and Auburn.
  5. Mobile is also where mardi gras started.. they hate N. O. cuz N. O. gets all the mardi gras credit
  6. People from Mobile have told me that Mardi Gras started there but I didn't believe them.
