Ok so then you wouldn't mind a trial run then. You get a knife, and I'll shoot you with rubber bullets. I don't know if you think these rubber bullets are like tennis balls being shot out of a juggs machine, but even alot of prisons and law enforcement are using them now. They are no joke. As far as gators, no I don't think going out in a boat and shooting a gator with a pistol is hunting. And what am I missing anyway, did a gator walk into a school and start shooting or something? I've had the flu so I haven't been watching the news, do I need to call Crawfishman?
People make danger, lets continue the pussification of America and eliminate everything potentially harmful/fun while we are at it.....lets be sure and not address the lunatics behind the guns, that could offend someone.
The point was (sarcastically) in reference to gators is that if a criminal wants to murder someone with a knife, and succeeds, then the victim is pretty much gator food. And the mindset of a criminal intent on doing harm or killing is much different than playing "Let's Do an Experiment". Their mind set and what they can and will take in the process is different. Of course you would be able to stop me if that little experiment was done. My intent would not be to kill, therefore, what my body and mind would take would be different than that of a criminal whose mindset is to inflict harm or kill. I do not find you annoying enough (yet) to want to off you. Just as I don't want to off you because you have no sarcasm meter, does not mean that I still wouldn't if you got hold of some bad weed and came at me with a knife.
I don't favor elimination of guns. I favor your freedom to make your life and mine more dangerous by owning a gun. You also imply that I don't want to address the issue of the person behind the gun. Not true. More than anyone, I am thinking about why people do things and how to best manage them. I am curious as to what solution you have, because I don't know how to fix crazies. Also as far as pussificarion and worrying about offending people, you are barking up the wrong tree talking to me about that.
I have no solution to fix crazy, but I know that taking guns away from law abiding citizens isn't the solution. Crazy people will always find a way.....I know you are Mr. Offensive and frankly I like it!
I don't think anyone here has come out and said ban guns, I don't want em banned either, I'm just spitting out ideas at times and I think Martin put it best, it's a problem with no solution. I do however favor making it impossible for lunatics to legally obtain firearms. I don't think anyone should just be able to walk into a gun show and buy an arsenal with no background check no nothing. I will also say this, someone needs to shoot that Wayne LaPierre dude in the nuts. The NRA itself is a terrible, terrible organization whose upper management is completely out of touch with the majority of its members. He actually blamed Mortal Kombat, a fighting game with no guns.
Better yet, why don't we just take every ounce of liberty we may still be clinging to and just flush it right down the crapper. The reaction of some to tragedy is beyond stupid. The willingness of some to just forfeit God Given Freedom is astounding.
