1. Clearly if the season ended today they'd both be first rounders in the NFL draft. Assuming that they keep putting up the gaudy stats and highlight reel plays that they have so far, they'll both have lucrative futures ahead of them next May. Boone is a senior so he's gone. Any chance either of these studs stay Tigers for their senior year? Wishful thinking?
  2. No. They are nfl ready now.

Also if Jennings is the starting QB next year they won't have the stats that they will this year - potentially hurting their draft status.

  3. Landry be gone.

    Top 20 first rounder.

Beckham not so much. Probably a 2nd rounder.
  4. I think Landry is definitely NFL ready. I don't know what to think about Beckham. He is immensely talented and makes some really big plays but also makes a huge mistake (dropped balls, fumbles) in almost every game. He makes me nervous.

  6. Remember that he's also a pretty good kick and punt returner. Always need a guy who can contribute on special teams.

I think they can possibly both be top 20 picks if their seasons continue on the track they're on.
  7. 6'1" 200 (Landry) vs 6'0" 185 (Beckham) makes a huge difference as well.

And Landry plays bigger than that. Beckham doesn't play bigger/stronger than his height/weight. Huge advantage Landry in the draft. Plus the hands. They are awesome. The best pair of hands I have ever seen at LSU. From the standpoint of never dropping the ball and how he goes and gets the ball. Strong like bull.

And he can block on the edges. The NFL drools over that kind of receiver.

He could play safety if he wanted to. Remember all those knockout hits on special teams as a true freshman? That film won't be lost on the NFL scouts. They will see that and see what a fiercesome competitor he is. Kid is special.

  8. Im out the norm here in that I feel OBJ would be the higher pick than Landry. In no way shape or form am I saying OBJ is better. Landry has some of the best hands Ive seen. He catches everything with his hands like a WR should. He runs crisp routes. However OBJ has better top end speed and is more elusive. If Landry would somehow drop to a 4.4 he would be a much higher pick.
  9. I'll take Landry's crisper route running, much better edge blocking and yards after catch. Landry is better yards after catch than Beckham. Beckham does have the top end speed, that's how he gets his big gains. Landy can get that big gain coming across the middle.

Landry will be top 3 WR pick.

  10. I agree with everything but the NFL puts too much stock on 40 time. Plus OBJ is more elusive and has return skills. That said, Id take Landry all day, everyday. He is in the mold of Davis and Reed.
