Just wondering if there's any Sports Writer's, experts in the know or publications that think Miles is an excellent hirer or even a good hirer for LSU. If so please post the link. If none, why not? I need some convincing other than the "I trust Skip" comments. Thanks.
From the article in the Advocate: "He's a really solid football coach," NFL scout and Fox Sports Radio college and NFL analyst Chris Landry said. "He believes in tough-minded discipline. He believes in the running game, in defense. He likes to work the vertical passing game off of play-action. "He works hard at recruiting. He has always seemed to put a pretty good staff together, and I think he's done a pretty good job with limited resources." Landry said some aspects of hiring Miles make sense to him. "I think LSU probably was looking at some of the similarities with Nick Saban, who came to LSU from Michigan State, where he was at a second-tier program behind the major power in the state (Michigan). I think he's in a different category than Nick, but I think he's a solid coach."
I cannot give you a link because it was on ESPN radio as I was coming back from Mexico that I heard all of this. They were quite complimentary of Les sighting where he has taken the Cowboy program, from nothing to three bowl games in a row, beating OK twice and once knocking them out of the national championship race. We are as upset about him leaving as you seem to be about getting him.
