Any word on who will be the next WR Coach?

Has anybody heard anything about who will be the next WR coach?

Is there any truth to the rumor that Jerry Rice interviewed for the position?
If this is true it would be great for recruiting WRs to come to LSU.
How nice it would be to tell a wr recruit to come to LSU and learn from one of the best to ever play in the NFL. It would be nice but it may just be a rumor.

 

Apprantly he was interviewed so it is not a rumor but I don't think he will be our WR Coach.

 

Looks like they won't announce for a little while. The LaTech boards mention that Conroy Hines has been interviewed. Makes sense given his connections to Gary Crowton.

Jerry Rice as the WR coach? That would be sick. He could teach them to dance too.

 

Id rather take him as a WRC, even if he doesnt have experience. He wont be an OC, so he'll have nothing to do with play calling, he'll only coach the WR. And who better than the G.O.A.T to teach WRs. On top of that, Jerry used to work harder than any WR on his routes and techniques, which also makes him a good coach. But I still dont know if its a rumor or not. But Im confident CLM will find the right guy, just like he found Pellini and Crowton..:thumb:
