A place that does hair cuts, not styling, and will also do a straight shave.
There's that place on the second floor of the interior courtyard at bocage village. That's where I used to go when I lived in BR and I'm pretty sure they're still there.
There is one right next to the neighborhood Pharmacy on Perkins across the street from Jimmie Johns. Has they old style barber pole outside. Small little place that has been open for years
You might want to try my barber. Here is his picture
I haven't had an actual haircut in 16 years... I've always just used the clippers and had the wife clean up my neck.
I have been looking for a barber who uses a straight razor for the entire six years I have been living here. I found one about four months ago at the Bocage Barber Shop. He cut my hair and trimmed my neck line an above my ears with the straight razor. I as in heaven. The next time I went in he used clippers. I asked what the hell, and he said he had gotten to old to use the straight razor.
The barber at th Art of Shaving will use a straigh razor, but the cuts are realy expensive. Like you need a vagina to pay that much for a haircut expensive.
I usually just go to the generic SportsClips, TGF, Supercuts type places but went to a barber about 5 times a few years ago because I read that it was used for a few scenes in that movie Rushmore (and the barbershop was only a couple of miles from my house).
They only accepted cash and haircuts were $10. It was kind of a pain to have the right amount to tip (i.e. didn't want to just give a $20). They would give change but usually two 5's so I would tip $5.
I only tip $3 at the generic places but it's still a little more than the $10+$5 tip barbershop haircut.
The Art of Shaving. Guy is a Master Barber and teaches barbering. Straight razor shaves. Real deal.
