In case you havent heard, Podcasting is a method of publishing files (specifically home made radio shows) via the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed to receive new shows automatically. It costs nearly nothing to make a show(all you need is a cheap microphone, a computer, and a DSL or better internet connection). Some shows have become very popular. 2 shows, for example, CubsCast (chicago) and Eagle Podcast Network (philly, PA) have a few thousand listeners a week. I tried to do a podcast about LSU sports news. However I found that although i have the audio editing and website managing skills, I do not have the voice for it. So, does anybody here with a microphone, a computer, and some free time want to (potentially) become semi-famous?
My friend told me about that stuff. He was doing a show playing his music which i really cant stand. It seems neat though. I really dont like the internet to much, even though it reaches everyone.
you wont have too. as long as you have a computer, a microphone, and a decent internet connection, i can manage the rest. I've already worked most of the kinks out (including the website) when i decided to try it out a few months ago.
