Good list. After what I saw I would

add Highsmith in the linebacker group. Will definitely be in the competition.

I wouldn't pencil in Steltz at FB either. We used alot of David Jones there this year when he wasn't in at TE. I think David Jones will see more time at TE than Robinson. I also think we'll use Shawn Jordan or the TEs as a pass catching threat from the FB position. Steltz is purely a blocker.

DD beat me to the punch... he's right, you can't pencil in Steltz, especially with the way our offense will be revamped next year. Jones was killer out of the backfield. And Shawn Jordan's recruiting highlights were the best of last year's awesome recruiting class.

FB will be a lowly used role next year, IMO.

    great post

oh yeah... i've heard some negative things about Fisher also. Punter should definitely be listed as "open" with Jackson and Dalfrey also.

Oliver may be a probable at DE, but there is always Pittman too. so I don't think you can put that DE as filled.

and kicker is still open. on a side note: Jackson really frustrates me. Did anyone else see his cocky outbursts on the sidelines. not once, but twice (two different games) he ignored Saban and kept walking away as Saban was chewing him out. his attitude really bothers me.

    great post though!

Do not forget about Keith Zinger at tight end. We might play him at tight end and move David Jones to fullback full-time. Or vice versa. But Steltz will probably be our fullback in short-yardage/goal-line situations.

    Re: great post

I guess since he is a two-sport athlete (baseball) he thinks that he can do whatever he wants. Saban won't tolerate that kind of attitude.

I beleive that FB will be by committee nest year and will depend on the situation. Steltz, Jones and Reeves will all be in the mix.

I would agree with you if I knew who reeves was, maybe you meant Jordan or Hester. Anyway, I too think they will all be in the mix and if we run a lot we will see a lot of tight end formations and Robinson will be in that mix at one or the other. am i missing somehting on a Reeves?
