1. With all of the bashing (by some on this board) of our coach after 2 10 win season and on the verge of the Rose Bowl, are we just as bad as they are. Have these "bashers" forgot that it is football and the best coaches in the country with the most talent have failed to go undefeated almost every year for the last 20 years. And guess what, it's almost always losing a game or two they should not have.
USC should never lose to Oregon State
Texas to Kansas State or ATM
    Cal to AZ
    Etc...

Or when Spurrier coached at FL, should he have lost to LSU and Dinardo?
Saban should not have lost to Florida and ZOOK!

The point is that no one called for these coaches heads....... at least not in their right minds.

Our reputation will get worst, and it will get harder to get a great coach to come to our great program.

Check your expectations......yes we are talented, but so are alot of other teams.....believe it or not, some even have more than us. Enjoy this great season, and be thankful for what we have.

If we are not carefull, we will be talked about just like BAMA....UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.:nope:
  2. It's really only 2 or 3 people. At Bama, it's everyone.
  3. I am sure your right, those 2 or 3 really get around though.
  4. I always differentiate the bashers and those calling immediately for Les's head and those who criticize constructively or out of frustration. So, don't assume those who criticize as not being thankful for what we have. Staright calling for the coach's head...okay.:geauxtige
  5. Way too many fans are already there. They need to appreciate something that wont be around forever.
  6. I feel there are legitimate complaints especially in light of the production from Williams and Holliday. I feel that criticizing the staff for failing to play these two extremely productive players during our two losses is justified. I believe that there were legitimate playcalling gripes as well during those two games.

Any other criticism should be directed at the high-profile players who made mistakes during aforementioned losses. Coaches don't play a down.
  7. No. Last time I checked I wasn't related to my girlfriend.
  8. Understand your point to an extent, but that is just part of the game and is to be expected. You never know how a player will react in certain situations, etc..
Damn glad I dont have you guys looking over me at my job. And yes I know it comes with the territory and $$$. But it's a double edge sword and can be very negative for a program, just like BAMA.
  9. We pay a lot more attention to the finer nuances of football around here.

The fact is, those points can't be argued. The current starting RB and all-purpose scatback did not receive playing time during our two losses, for whatever reason. I think questioning Buster not being back there to field punts is valid as well.

As fans, we get extremely frustrated when we can easily see that certain facets of the game simply aren't working with the players that are on the field. It only gets doubly worse when the players come in later in the season and perform well. Who else can you blame except coaching?

SabanFan would argue that we need to base less of our life and expectation on the performance of LSU football, and he couldn't be more right about that.
  10. Yes, but it is our God given, inherent right to question coaching decisions.

Hell, I even questioned some of St. Nick's.
