This is a guy who went behind his AD's back last year and spoke with Auburn, without getting permission to do so. Sure, it was classless of Auburn, but Petrino is just as guilty. That doesn't sound like a coach you can trust to me.
Maybe he was looking to be "shown the money"?? And that's certainly what he will surely get should we offer, and he accept.
Yes, I am sure I want him. The man was offered a job at a SEC school and was making a decision that was obviously in his best interest. It's not his fault that Aubarn is run like a second-rate insitution.
Nick didn't want it revealed that he had been in negotiations many days before when it leaked out. I'd still take him. Not sold on petrino. Not sure anyone is 100% on anyone thus far. Except the 2 or 3 seemingly obvious choices.
Forget how Auburn is run.............. Petrino was just as guilty. Like I said, Auburn was classless in doing it that way, but Petrino should have told them to go through the proper channels. He didn't. A coach that would be this deceitful, you have to wonder what else he would be dishonest about.
If I was coaching at a sh!t hole school like Louisville I'd be doing everything I could to get out too?? Louisville needs to wake up and realize that their football program is good for one thing. Preparing coaches to run real programs in real conferences.
Well lets not bash Louisville... But I guess you can do what you want... As for Petrino, I would still be interested what our options are, BUT if he does come here I would give him my 100% support and hope he does well for us..
I spent a month there one weekend in 2000. Mainly I was talking about the football program and not the school or the people.
