I don't know if they are all trick plays, but I've never seen so many unusual plays as what Arkansas ran in th first half.
They are running reverses and miss direction plays almost everytime. Pellini needs to adjust at halftime. If we force them to throw, the game is ours.
They have a qb playing receiver, a rb playing quarterback and passes well and handles the ball well. It gives a lot of options but looks like we'll overcome. :thumb:
I think the defense played smart today and stayed put without overpursuing. I have a feeling the trick plays that Ogeron pulled in the last game somehow helped to prime this defense.
Today felt a little like the first time we had to play Florida once Spurrier had the Fun-n-Gun up to speed. You never knew what was coming. But I had a feeling that if we got them in a position where they would have to be somewhat conventional on offense, then we'd have them. If they had gotten their final possession with 4:00 left instead of 2:00, we'd have been in trouble.
That offense is downright terrifying. Their use of McFadden was genius until that last series, thankfully. LSU defense played them as tough as possible. It was a great effort.
If Felix Jones and McFadden get to the corner, that is a scary site to see, they caught many of our DB's flat-footed and just ran by them. Their speed is scary, luckily our offense showed up today because this could have been bad if our offense wasn't sharp.
