This team played very well yesterday and has alot of young talent. They well be tough next year especially because we play them in Fayetteville.

About LSU. I know Bowe is suppose to be our #1 receiver but I would have sit him on the bench after the 3rd missed catch. He obviously didn't have his head in the game and it almost cost LSU the ball game. He missed some crucial passes that could have but the game away. Our receivers have been the biggest disappointment to me this year.

Still 10-1 and playing for the SEC Championship is a great season.

Before the game, I posted that Arkansas is playing their best ball of the year right now and should not be taken for granted. They are young and have SEC quality talent with a year under their belt. Nutt can coach and his team gets better every week as a result. Unfortunately, many fans refuse to give the opposition any credit and if a bad thing happens, it's their team's (or coach's fault). Were we lucky to win yesterday? Maybe, but I prefer to think we were good enough to win.

Luck is part of the game, just like bad calls, injuries, and bad weather. LSU has had its share of bad calls, injuries and bad weather. If LSU is a lucky team then I'm delighted . . . and I hope it holds.

Good players and good play make for a lot of good luck.

I agree with your comments. We were good enough to win, and I'm proud of that. We accomplished a great deal today.

When you say that Arky's young talent has "a year under their belt", you must be talking about this year alone, because the QB is a true freshman who played in high school last season, and two RBs (McFadden and Jones) are true freshmen. Their best WR is Monk, who is a Sophomore.

You've got to give Arky some serious props and credit, don't you think? Nutt had the whole team fired up like it was a bowl game. Nutt had the offense ready to execute, and they did. I kept waiting for our Defense to pressure and sack the QB, but it did not happen as much as I expected.

Arky's DC (Herring) is in his first year with Arky, and he seems to be a very good DC to me. Their Defense did a very good job to hold our Top 3 offense to only 17 points.

Remember these rankings in the SportsLine 119: LSU = #3 Arky = #82.
That's why I was disappointed in our performance yesterday.

I've put the disappointment behind me, and I'm looking forward to winning the SEC and our Sugar Bowl. I don't care about the Rose Bowl. I no longer care about winning big and looking sharp doing it. I'll take a one-point win in each of our last two games, no matter how many passes we drop, how many fumbles we drop, how many interceptions we throw, or how many defensive coverages we blow. For these last two games, I don't care how rotten we coach or play . . . as long as we win.

Next season, however, I expect to see some improvement in all of these areas.

Dear Sabanfan and others who believe Nutt is a wundercoach and are unhappy with Les Miles, let me pose a question. Would you believe your coach is great if after 8 years he had a losing conference record, two straight losing seasons, lost to Vandy at home, has a record of 2-17 against above 500 SEC teams since 2001, and our yearly claim to fame is that we play good teams close? The fact is, Nutt is a good motivator and we somehow play above our heads every year when we play you guys. Its easy to open up the playbook when you have nothing to lose, which is where the Arkansas program will be when the Hogs play LSU every year as long as this fraud is in charge of our program. Take my coach............please.

Maybe they need to ditch those gloves.

Excellent post Jean! I agree wholeheartedly. I for one will not be looking forward to going to Auburn or Little Rock next year. While I think we'll still be in position to win the games, they will be tough.

IMO Ark may have given Georgia the plan on how to defense LSU. I don't think anyone else has been as good at creating problems with our offense by blitzing like Arkie. If I was the GA DC and had decent cover guys, I would rather risk one-on-one with our receivers and force Russel to make a quick decision. He really stared down receivers (worse than usual) yesterday after the rush started getting to him.

You lying sack-o-chit ... you wanted to bet me a measly $100, giving me Arkansas and 20 points ... YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE SACK TO TAKE "THE SHAME" BET ... Called out for the lying lowlife that you are ... Pathetic
