  2. I think it's time for him go, they have top recruiting classes every year but they are not doing anything with them. Mack Brown at Texas to me is in the same boat.
  3. Yesterday, Colin Cowherd pointed out that Phil Fulmer's time at Tennessee is limited because he's actually a mediocre coach. He said that Tennessee were winners in the 90s because the SEC didn't have the caliber of great coaches that it enjoys today (even giving props to ole Les).
  4. In Tennessee’s last 28 games, Fulmer’s record is 15-13. More recently, in the last eight contests, Fulmer is 3-5. Those wins came over Vanderbilt, Kentucky and Southern Mississippi. His 16-year head coaching record vs. Florida is now a pitiful 5-11 and he is 0-3 against Gator head coach Urban Meyer. In his last 19 games against SEC teams with a winning record, Fulmer is a dismal 4-15.

  5. I hate Tenn... they should sign Fulmer to a 10 year extension
  6. Did you guys notice that in the commercial appeal link that is noted here---------there are three places you can order the LSU fight song as your ringtone for cell phones.............just thought I would let ya'll know cause some are often asking:geauxtige
  7. Fulmer's downfall has been two-fold. The kind of athlete he's recruited and his handling of assistant coaches.

He brought in thugs and players with few ties to rockyflop. Its not like in LA when a lot of the players we recruit are life long Tigers. Phatso has the hired gun type mercenary as a recruit. Not the loyal home grown vol fans, for the most part anyway.

He waited too long to pull the plug on Randy Shannon and offered up others as sacraficial lambs to keep the dogs off his back. He stood by while Shannon was crucified and its fitting that he's doing a heck of a job at Kentucky with Woodson. Phatso was supposed to be the offensive mind anyway.

Phatso has is own personal character issues as well. He survived them with a boat load of talent in the last 90's and rode that MNC from 98 into the 2000's. The way he back stabbed Johnny majors to get the job originally, his involvement in the bama issue and his mishandling of discipline on the team indicate what kind of character he has.

I have little sympathy for Tinysee. Fulmer has captained that ship into the abyss and its been sinking and stinking for some time.

  8. There are some similarities. Both have been to 13 consecutive bowls. In the last 9 years, they trail only Warden Bowden in win %age. However, Brown is the only coach with 9 or more wins each of the last 9 years with 3 10 win seasons and 3 11 win seasons. Fulmer's character has long been under attack while Brown hasn't had that criticism.

The number of players out on bail is about equal.

  9. Speaking of that, did anyone else notice in the Pats-Chargers game the other night, Donte Stallworth named his high school instead of UT when the were doing the player introductions? That kind of re-iterates DRC's point.
  10. I've discovered the problem with Fulmer. He is losing a small fortune in his favorite doughnut shop.:hihi:
