Article on Mike Fox... in retrospect.

I was all set to sing North Carolina's and the ACC's praises for excellent play in the NCAA baseball regionals.

But a little headline caught my eye Monday afternoon. Most people in this area probably didn't even notice the headline, but they should have if they care about UNC baseball.

Why should the boys in baby blue care?

Mike Fox is one of the hottest coaches in the country, that's why. He is a proven winner everywhere he has gone and LSU is looking for a proven winner.

Two things stick out with that article. One, the writer. Two, they think that LSU "fire[d] a guy who won the College World Series in 2000."

 

I was at 1,999 posts, so I figured "what the hell..." let's make it 2,000.

 

A new coach is what LSU needs. Some times new blood is the answer. It strengthens the blood line.

 

I saw the last 2 innings, I was on the road for the beginning of the game

 

I watched the whole game.

 

Same here.

Gonna be tough for OSU to come back with UNC's pitching.

 

Yep a good game, it's a shame aboput the late errors and the winning run coming home on a passed ball, but I enjoyed it, except for having to watch last year's game during the delay, wish they would just show the best highlights from the past 16 years.:tigbas:
