Even with an Alabama Loss, All won't be Lost

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon/2012/11/03/sec-college-football-alabama-lsu-pregame/1679459/

It talks about how #1 Bama can get right back into the BCS, even with a loss, like last year, etc. How Mike Slive would prefer a Bama win, to preserve the SEC streak, etc.

Am I missing the part where Don Wolken talks about the slightest of possibilities, that LSU might possibly have had a future in the BCS National Championship, IF we had won the the game?

We were #5 (7-1) that week, Bama was #1 (8-0), we had 1 loss. There were 4 teams ahead of us, Bama, Notre Dame, KSU & Oregon. Afterall, we would have just beaten the #1 team, knocking Bama presumably out, before they screamed for a Mulligan, and we already had a much stronger strength of schedule.

If I recall, Bama had a Loss this year to A&M, after this article was written. I understand Bama was undefeated when they came to LSU, but needed several teams to lose to back into the game yet again this year, as the article mentions. Except for them losing to a different team than LSU.

Again, maybe I'm missing it, but there doesn't appear to be much talk of LSU at all here, win or lose. Dunno, just strikes me as odd to reassure, I assume Bama fans, that if they lost everything would just work out for them.

No conspiracy stuff, maybe I'm misreading or not understanding the article's intent.

It's as if LSU didn't exist or really matter..

Dan Wolken assumes that after the loss to Bama, Miles shut down the football program and retired to Toledo Bend...

Aside from LSU winning, the thing in football that I would give just about anything for is for this Bama nightmare to be over. 2012 has been pure football HELL, outside of LSU victories. It's like a crimson scarred nightmare that I just can't wake up from. Please GOD, someone end the pain!

How long have you been a fan of CFB? Bama's BEEN a "nightmare". Count 'em up pal.

By comparison, LSU is more the newcomer to the perennial National Title stage.

I pray to everlasting God Notre Dame may be beat them! Crush and pulverize them is even better.

The Bama nation needs to be humbled. SEC streak be damned. Their arrogance and elitism is a spectacle out of control. The media only fuels it and their whacked out, obsessive fans egos.

They are truly a sickening lot to listen to or watch.

Now where would point be, without counterpoint. Think of it as the laws of natural thought requiring an accounting.

I don't need to "count 'em up"....pal??? U constantly remind me, and everyone else on this board for that matter, of the copious amounts of titles(fictional and otherwise) that Bama has. Dude, you're obviously a Bama fan. Why don't you just go suck Bama off over there? I'm not saying leave this board, I'm just saying that maybe the better place to stroke Bama's ego is on a Bama site. Don't even give me the, "if you take away their made-up titles, they'd still have twice as many as us" garbage. How can you possibly feel that way concerning Bama and LSU and still call yourself an LSU fan. You're a pretty lame "LSU fan" IMO.

Let's stay on point here. Calling names only means you're losing- and you are- but don't be a crybaby.

To the point, how can posting facts make me a fan? lmao. If I say, for example, that Notre Dame has THREE times as many as we do- they do- does that make me a Notre Dame fan? Ability to be objective is a rare but good quality. It equates to a person being fair. It's also very important in what I do for a living and something I'm known for in my occupational circle.

    Here, have a tissue.

I objectively think 90% of ALA fans are nonobjective, asswhipes.
