Looks like Visor Boy might be done in the NFL. The first paragraph hints of his return to College Football in North Carolina http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/saraceno/2003-10-28-saraceno_x.htm
I heard about this last weekend. Do you guys think that Zook will get the boot if Dark Visor becomes available especially if the Gators aren't able to have the success of the past? Spurrier a Gator once again?
Foley I was at the florida vs Ark view in at a Pensacola Bar 2 weeks ago and some of them said Spurrier left because of Foley So who knows if he will go back to Florida
After Florida has some bad years and they have to go through a coach or too, that might help heal those problems... At least Foley's side, but I hope Spurrier does go to another conference.
I thought I heard some rumors about him going to Duke? DUKE?!?!!? Next to leaving college to coach in the pros, going to DUKE would be Spurrier's WORST decision! ...although, if "looking for a challenge" is Spurrier's drive, then that would be the place. However, in sticking with projecting Spurrier's next gig, I'm going to say he'll be fired from the Redskins after this season and return to coaching college football. However, I look for him to take over for Bowden...AT CLEMSON. Just my guess...
Actually, unless I am wrong, Spurrier used to be coach at Duke and did quite well. I think Spurrier could do some good with the Dukies...
Leaving Florida to coach the Redskins wasn't too bad a decision considering if the gets fired he will have worked two years for $25 million. Dan Snyder can hire me and fire me any day.
Spurrier and the UF AD didn't get along. I can't recall the exact circumstanses, but the AD left Spurrier out to dry over something.
CS was the only coach to every lead Duke to an ACC Championship, right before he left for the Gators. I don't see him going backwards. NFL to where he began his climb. It would have to be a program that has great athletes.
