1. Any of us could put together a list of our picks for the 5 greatest basketball players in LSU history, or the best at each position, but let's have your takes on putting together 5 guys from the history of LSU basketball who together would compose the best "team" in terms of effectiveness and chemistry as a unit. Think of five players we were solid in their fundamentals, could pass as well as score, who didn't care who got the most points, who could get the most out of their teammates as well as themselves.

Would Pete Maravich be on such a unit? How about Shaq? Maybe so, maybe not.

    My 5 would be:

    G: Ethan Martin
    G: Chris Jackson
    F: Rudy Macklin
    F: Ricky Blanton
    C: Greg Cook
  2. 1. Geert Hammink
    2. Misha Mutadvdic
    3. Roman Rubchenko
    4. Adam Walton
    5. Pete Bozek

Just joking...I wasn't really old enough to truly be an LSU Basketball fan during our heyday...From around 81-89, I was 3-10 years old...

    But...here goes...

    1. Chris Jackson
    2. Pete Maravich
    3. Stromile Swift
    4. Stanley Roberts
    5. Shaquille O'Neal

Just guys that stand out in my mind from the times I followed LSU hoops...
  3. this is almost too easy

    1. cj
    2. shaq
    3. pistol
    4. stro
    5. bass (i think he will become a top 5 NBA pick before he is done at LSU)
  4. 1. Chris Jackson
    2. Shaq
    3. Pistol Pete
    4. Vernell Singleton
    5. Ricky Blanton
  5. 1. Chris Jackson
    2. Pete Maravich
    3. Stromile Swift
    4. Bob Pettit
    5. Shaquille O'neal

I think I might put these 5 on the court against any 5 from any other team in the country.
  6. C -- Shaquille O'Neal
    PF -- John Williams
    QF -- Bob Pettit
    PG -- Chris Jackson
    WG -- Pete Maravich

There are Three Top-50 All-time NBA stars on this team. Not many schools can boast that.
  7. Chris Jackson
    Ronnie Henderson
    SHAQ
    Bob Petit
    Pistol Pete
  8. PG - Chris Jackson
    SG - Pete Maravich
    C - Shaquille O'Neal
    PF - John Williams
    SF - Don Redden

6th Man - Willie Sims (a role he excelled in)
  9. I wanted to put Ronnie Henderson on as my 2 guard...

Is anyone else not totally disappointed that Randy Livingston never got to develop with Ronnie Henderson? Would that have not been absolutely astounding? Those two in their primes?

I remember Henderson leading the conference in scoring, and only being 2nd team all-conference...What a CROCK!

I also remember him slipping to the 2nd round of the draft, and then going AWOL from the Bullets (Or was it Wizards by then?)...

    Whatever happened to Ronnie Henderson?
  10. my team

    PG - Chris Jackson
    SG - Pete Pavarich
    SF - Stromile Swift
    PF - Rudy Macklin
    C - Shaquille O'Neal

This team would be soooooooooooo unstoppable!!

Other team members. Just my pick.

    PG - Torris Bright
    SG - Ronnie Henderson
    SF - Ronald Dupree
    PF - Jamie Lloreda
    C - Stanley Roberts
